Herbert Burkert studied Law, Political Science and History at the
University
of
Cologne
and at the University College Dublin; he was a Volkswagenwerk Foundation Research
Fellow at the University of Regensburg, Germany and passed his Second State Law Exam in the German Land Hesse; he received his
PhD from the University of Frankfurt am Main and his habilitation
from the
University
of
St. Gallen
where he now presides the Research Centre for Information Law and
teaches in the areas of telecommunication law, media law, internet law
and public law.
